Location: Mountain View, California, United States; on-site internship

Salary: $10,000–$10,000 USD base pay for the California/SF and Silicon Valley location. Total compensation may also include equity, bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own a project advancing a production autonomous-trucking platform.
• Develop and maintain modern C++ code in a production-level codebase.
• Work on security and cryptography challenges for real-world autonomous trucks.
• Collaborate daily with software and engineering teams.
• Address technically challenging problems without clear-cut solutions.

Requirements

• Current graduate student in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's and Ph.D. students at any stage are considered.
• Comfort reading and writing modern C++ code.
• Fundamental knowledge of mathematics, linear algebra, and calculus.
• Basic understanding of security or cryptography fundamentals.
• Internship availability for 12–16 weeks starting in January 2027.
• Ability to work at the Mountain View, California location.

Nice to have

• Understanding of TLS, RSA, and AES.
• Linux, Ubuntu, or Debian experience.
• Real-time, resource-constrained, or embedded software experience.
• Physical AI, IoT, robotics, or self-driving experience.
• Knowledge of TCP, UDP, PTP, Git, cloud infrastructure, or robotic sensors.
