Senior Software Engineer I, Core Objects

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work

Salary: $128,842–$232,200 per year in base pay for candidates based in the United States; expected OTE is $144,000–$258,000 per year, including bonus or commission.

What you will do

• Extend high-scale ingestion pipelines to support new and advanced data objects.
• Build and evolve Core Objects systems and features that underpin the customer engagement platform.
• Own and improve complex backend systems used across the product.
• Optimize system performance and infrastructure costs.
• Use AI-assisted and agentic tools to navigate the Ruby monolith, develop proof of concepts, and move safely from requirements to production solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Experience as a technical leader.
• Strong understanding of software design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Previous experience working in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience building software at scale.
• Professional experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, React, Go, SQL, NoSQL databases, distributed systems, or API design and monitoring.
• Experience with agile processes.
• Passion for customer experience.
