Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, working from the New York, New York office; up to 15% travel to client sites or team meetings.

Salary: $159,600–$199,500 per year.

What you will do

• Run discovery with customer technical and data teams to identify underlying business problems and define measurable solutions.
• Design and build production GenAI, ML, and customer-data systems, including pipelines, models, agents, and activations.
• Recommend solutions for high-priority use cases, including custom product changes when required.
• Deploy systems that customers can operate independently and that remain reliable as the product evolves.
• Abstract one-off implementations into reusable patterns, code templates, reference implementations, and product proposals.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Staff FDEs, and Principal FDEs to turn customer insights into product improvements.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in software or data engineering, including customer-facing, embedded, or solutions work.
• Strong experience with Python, SQL, pipelines, and data modeling, or JavaScript, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with data platforms, ML/AI systems, customer data, CDPs, or martech.
• Ability to turn ambiguous problems into working systems and explain complex technical decisions to business stakeholders.
• Comfort operating inside customer organizations without formal authority.
• Ability to work from the New York, New York office in a hybrid setup.

Nice to have

• Production experience with applied GenAI or ML, including agents, scoring, recommendations, or classification.
• Experience at a data-platform or applied-AI company.
• Experience turning field work into a library, template, or product change.
