State and Local Tax - Income Franchise Associate (Tax)

Location: Boston, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required, with reliable transportation arrangements.

Salary: $74,800–$89,250 per year.

What you will do

• Integrate state and local tax services with existing client engagements.
• Complete tax planning and research assignments.
• Develop knowledge of state and local tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
• Review client tax processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend enhancements to reduce tax exposure.
• Work with client information technology personnel to obtain and analyze historical purchasing and sales data for reporting, audits, refunds, and credits.
• Assist with evaluating sales/use tax software and support implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Ability to travel to assigned client locations and arrange reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively on a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Progress toward successful completion of the CPA exam.
