Income & Franchise Tax Senior Associate

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90071; hybrid work with 3 days onsite per week

Salary: $101,200–$129,030 per year plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Prepare and review state income and franchise tax returns.
• Support multi-state tax compliance and consulting projects for multiple clients.
• Conduct tax research and prepare technical memos and client correspondence.
• Assist with tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
• Review returns for accuracy and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams on SALT matters, while training and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in state income tax compliance.
• Strong analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• CPA preferred or demonstrated progress toward CPA.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with 3 onsite days per week in Los Angeles.
