Manager, Accounting (CPA)

What you will do

• Lead technical accounting activities covering payroll, benefits, commissions, revenue recognition, sales tax, equity, and share-based compensation.
• Manage ASC 606 accounting, sales tax compliance, Avalara administration, and reconciliations across operating jurisdictions.
• Own annual financial statement and statutory audits, coordinate PBC requests, and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Lead integrations, automation, and financial close optimization projects.
• Directly manage and mentor an Accountant II while reviewing reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaids, payables, capitalized R&D, and other accounting schedules.

Requirements

• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1–2 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606 and share-based compensation accounting.
• Experience managing external audits, statutory reporting, and audit request workflows.
• Hands-on experience with sales tax automation platforms such as Avalara.

• Public accounting experience.
• International payroll reconciliations and multi-entity global structures.
• Capitalized R&D accounting under ASC 350-40 and complex equity rollforwards.
• Hands-on coaching and leadership experience with junior accounting staff.
