What you will do

• Adapt Chinese scripts, books, and related content into English scripts while preserving intent, tone, and cultural nuance.
• Research cultural references, idioms, and linguistic details to ensure authentic localization.
• Collaborate with team leads, writers, editors, and other stakeholders to maintain quality and storytelling consistency.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to improve localization workflows and processes.
• Stay current with localization and interactive storytelling trends and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Film Studies, Screenwriting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in localization, translation, or adaptation in the film, television, or screenwriting industry.
• Native or near-native Mandarin Chinese proficiency is required.
• Native or near-native English proficiency is listed as a plus.
• Strong understanding of cultural differences between Chinese and English-speaking audiences.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, time management, and attention to detail.
