English to Brazilian Portuguese Linguist & Copy Editor

What you will do

• Translate English content into Brazilian Portuguese.
• Copy-edit and perform machine translation post-editing across marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and legal content.
• Use a client-specific CAT tool; training is provided during onboarding.
• Deliver more than 5,000 words per week while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
• Communicate with project stakeholders, respond reliably, and incorporate feedback and revisions.

Requirements

• Native or near-native Brazilian Portuguese and excellent command of English.
• At least 2 years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or at least 5 years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree.
• Demonstrated English-to-Brazilian-Portuguese translation experience across varied content types.
• Experience using CAT tools.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, responsiveness, reliability, and openness to feedback.
