Director, Omics Enabling Platforms (AI-Native Drug Discovery)

What you will do

• Build and lead an Omics Enabling organization supporting AI-native drug discovery.
• Develop, optimize, and scale bulk RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, WGS/WES, long-read sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics capabilities.
• Design and industrialize automated laboratory and robotic workflows for sample intake, library preparation, sequencing, and data acquisition.
• Build closed-loop autonomous experimentation with robotic orchestration, scheduling, LIMS/ELN integration, and quality-control frameworks.
• Establish agentic AI capabilities for experimental design, protocol generation, data quality control, interpretation, and knowledge capture.
• Own high-throughput data engineering, cloud/HPC infrastructure, workflow orchestration, FAIR data practices, and reusable AI-ready data products.

Requirements

• PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genomics, or a related field, supported by relevant publications.
• 10+ years of experience in cell biology, omics platforms, and computational biology.
• Deep expertise in bulk, single-cell, and spatial transcriptomics, including scalable and reproducible data-generation platforms.
• Experience translating complex omics datasets into mechanistic insights, disease-relevant hypotheses, biomarker strategies, and portfolio decisions.
• Proven experience leading technical and scientific teams, with strong strategic thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with automation and robotics, LIMS/ELN, cloud or HPC computing, workflow orchestration, data governance, and FAIR data principles.
