What you will do

• Execute the Type 2 Immunology research strategy, identify therapeutic targets, and prioritize investments across preclinical and translational programs.
• Oversee target identification, validation, mechanism-of-action studies, disease biology investigations, and candidate nomination.
• Develop biomarker strategies supporting patient stratification, proof of concept, and clinical decision-making.
• Translate preclinical findings into clinical hypotheses and study designs with Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs.
• Lead scientific collaborations, external innovation opportunities, publications, advisory boards, and conference representation.
• Mentor and develop research scientists while setting objectives and fostering scientific rigor, collaboration, and accountability.

Requirements

• PhD in immunology, molecular biology, or a closely related field, plus at least 12 years of pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical research experience focused on immunology.
• Deep expertise in inflammatory biology, disease mechanisms, and the Type 2 inflammatory disease landscape.
• Proven translational research experience connecting benchside research with clinical development.
• Experience leading drug discovery or development programs from early research through clinical translation.
• Ability to lead cross-functional R&D teams in a matrixed organization, with strong scientific communication and executive presence.
• Strong publication record in high-impact, peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Nice to have

• Experience across multiple inflammatory diseases, biologics development, immunotherapy, antibody engineering, or mechanism-based drug design.
• Familiarity with IND or CTA submissions and interactions with health authorities.
• Established academic and scientific networks and experience managing research partnerships.
• Experience developing senior scientific talent.
