Manager, Energy & IoT Management

What you will do

• Own the energy management strategy for the company-owned portfolio, including EMS, Connected Kitchen, Open Kitchen, and future energy technologies.
• Define platform priorities, governance, reporting, adoption strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop utility reduction and energy optimization programs that reduce operating costs, improve restaurant performance, extend asset life, and support sustainability goals.
• Use dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics to identify consumption trends, risks, savings opportunities, and operational improvements.
• Manage utility rebate and incentive programs, prioritize projects by ROI, and maximize incentive capture across brands.
• Build savings analyses, lifecycle-cost evaluations, ROI models, and capital investment recommendations while coordinating with Facilities, Operations, Finance, Procurement, technology teams, utilities, and vendors.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business, Finance, Sustainability, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in facilities management, energy management, utilities, engineering, building systems, restaurant operations, or a related field.
• Experience leading enterprise programs, cross-functional initiatives, and strategic projects.
• Experience developing financial analyses, business cases, ROI models, and capital investment recommendations.
• Strong knowledge of utility management, HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, controls, building management systems, utility rates, rebates, and energy-efficiency programs.
• Strong analytical, project management, vendor management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, LEED Accredited Professional, or a similar certification.
• Experience in multi-unit restaurant, retail, hospitality, healthcare, or commercial facilities environments.
• Experience with EMS, BAS, BMS, IoT platforms, Connected Kitchen technologies, utility providers, energy consultants, or technology vendors.
• Experience implementing energy-efficiency or smart-building technologies across multiple locations.
