Strategy Intern (AI)

Location: Southfield, Michigan, United States. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States on a permanent basis after graduation.

What you will do

• Research industry trends, competitor positioning, and market size to support strategic decisions.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities.
• Support market entry, M&A due diligence, growth planning, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Build financial models, SWOT analyses, Porter's Five Forces frameworks, and other strategic analyses.
• Create presentations, dashboards, and reports for stakeholders and executives.
• Collaborate with finance, marketing, operations, and product teams on strategic recommendations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, structured problem-solving, and business communication skills.
• Foundational knowledge of financial statements, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and financial modeling.
• Experience using AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude for research, analysis, modeling, or process optimization.
• Permanent authorization to work for any U.S. employer after graduation is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar data visualization and analytics tools.
• Academic coursework in finance, corporate strategy, or business analysis.
