What you will do
- Process employee wages, including commissions, overtime, bonuses, and short-term disability payments.
- Manage tax withholdings, deductions, garnishments, payroll records, audits, and year-end tax reporting.
- Administer health, retirement, and welfare programs for employees in the US and Canada.
- Resolve employee payroll and benefits inquiries and coordinate with US and Canadian vendors.
- Process benefit and vendor invoices and analyze data for trends, cost savings, and policy improvements.
- Recommend process and system enhancements, including leading the Workday implementation for Canadian payroll.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources or a related analytical discipline.
- 5+ years of Canada payroll experience and 2+ years of benefits experience required.
- Analytical mindset with HR and finance knowledge.
- Advanced Excel and proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems; Workday required.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and provincial payroll laws and benefits regulations.
- Problem-solving and process improvement skills.
