Advance Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Tyler, Texas, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with flexible work location on Fridays. Travel up to 30% across the Americas is required.

Annual base salary: $89,585–$143,700.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, cost of poor quality, and warranty exposure across residential operations and suppliers.
• Use quality data, field feedback, and structured problem-solving methods to identify issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Partner with new product development teams on Design for Quality and manufacturing readiness for product launches.
• Define and deploy critical quality requirements, including CTQs, KPCs, and GD&T, to plants and suppliers.
• Drive PFMEA, MSA, Control Plan, Safe Launch, and Run-at-Rate validation activities.
• Coach quality engineers and cross-functional teams on quality tools, standard work, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality, reliability, or product development within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional quality improvement and cost-reduction projects.
• Experience with stage-gate product development and manufacturing-readiness processes such as PDP, NPD, MRT, and PPAP.
• Strong knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, GD&T, and root-cause methodologies.
• Ability to travel up to 30% across the Americas.
