Sr. Specialist, Battery Cells Series and Project Purchasing (Automotive)

Location: Novi, Michigan, United States; four days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings, events, and occasional travel required.

Salary: $110,000–$135,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Establish and execute North American battery-cell purchasing and supply strategies for REEV production.
• Source and secure battery-cell supply while leading RFQ processes, supplier selection, cost analysis, and nomination decisions.
• Lead supplier development, industrialization, and pre-production program management activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional project-readiness and mass-production assessments with Quality, Engineering, and Logistics teams.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and implement technical changes while meeting cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Prepare contractual documents and negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term supply conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related financial field.
• 3–8 years of experience in manufacturing or automotive environments, preferably in Project or Series Buyer roles.
• 2–4 years of purchasing experience, including procurement or commodity strategy development and execution.
• Experience with automotive commodity purchasing negotiations, supplier performance management, and program management.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, stakeholder-management, and supplier-relationship skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
