TL;DR

Location: Remote Illinois, United States; occasional travel to the Schaumburg office 2–4 times yearly for state and CMS mock audits, with additional travel to Louisville possible during CMS audits. Core work hours are Monday–Friday, typically 8:00am–5:00pm Central Standard Time.

Salary: $65,000–$88,600 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

  • Research internal and external best practices and establish benchmark data.
  • Conduct CMS and state audits covering HRA compliance, critical incidents, post-discharge contacts, and transitions of care.
  • Validate source systems for universe and state reports and prepare, present, and navigate audit cases.
  • Develop and review internal quality metrics and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with managers, senior care coordinators, and care coordination staff on audit remediation.
  • Participate in quality committees, interrater reliability meetings, root cause analysis, and audit-scoring standard development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience in process improvement, compliance measures, auditing practices, or Medicaid/Medicare care coordination.
  • Must be located in Illinois for the remote role; travel to Schaumburg and occasionally Louisville is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret data.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work within structured contractual compliance timelines and meet occasional short-turnaround deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of HEDIS, Stars, CMS, and healthcare quality programs.
  • Experience with Medicaid or Medicare guidelines.
  • Residence in Illinois.
  • Comfort working with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
