Cybersecurity Specialist II (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite at Naval Research Laboratory facilities in Washington, DC; telework may be available at DoD/Navy/NRL discretion, with onsite presence required for mission support. Occasional travel to Monterey, CA, and Bay St. Louis, MS is required.

What you will do

• Implement and monitor security measures protecting computer systems, networks, and information.
• Define system security requirements and design detailed cybersecurity architectures.
• Implement and sustain HBSS, ACAS, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Defender for Identity.
• Apply STIG checklists and support Navy RMF accreditation activities.
• Support NRL field sites in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and travel to designated remote sites when required.
• Maintain compliance with Force Health Protection Guidance, safety protocols, and environmental training requirements.

Requirements

• Five years of relevant cybersecurity experience and a high school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience using Splunk.
• Familiarity with Navy RMF processes and procedures.
• CSSP or CASP, HBSS, and ACAS certifications.
• Final DoD-granted Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Ability to work onsite at NRL facilities in Washington, DC, with mandatory health and safety compliance.
