Junior Process Engineer - Waste to Energy

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid work with home office possible 2 days per week

Salary: €40,000 gross per year minimum; final compensation depends on level, skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Act as a process contact for Balance of Plants and Flue Gas Treatment topics during project execution.
• Develop heat and material balances, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and functional descriptions for plant automation.
• Size static and rotating equipment and prepare related technical documentation.
• Evaluate and compare process-related supplier offers.
• Conduct HAZOP risk analyses and support process reviews during commissioning and before trial operation.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a comparable role within energy, environmental technology, renewable energy, or a similar industry.
• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Knowledge of process engineering and equipment design.
• Reliability, time-management, and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English required.
