Senior Product Manager, Commercial Video IoT Devices

Location: Redwood City, San Diego, or Tysons, Virginia; onsite four days per week. Travel is expected, including trips to Taiwan a couple of times per year and occasional travel to partner or field locations.

Base salary: $130,000–$180,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead commercial video hardware product development, beginning with PoE cameras, from concept through launch and lifecycle improvement.
• Define product requirements and make tradeoffs across hardware, firmware, software, and the complete customer experience.
• Work with ODM partners on platforms, components, specifications, execution, and product quality.
• Evaluate installation workflows, mounting, wiring, accessories, setup, status indicators, packaging, and other field details.
• Drive launch readiness, resolve critical issues, and prioritize post-launch improvements with engineering, QA, operations, design, and go-to-market teams.

Requirements

• Strong technical depth in hardware or embedded systems, including device architecture, component tradeoffs, and system constraints.
• Ability to reason across hardware, firmware, and software and prioritize work across disciplines.
• Hands-on product judgment and experience driving complex cross-functional work with external partners.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including rigorous requirements and decision documentation.
• Technical foundation in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related discipline; a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or technical field is preferred.
• Ability to work onsite four days per week in Redwood City, San Diego, or Tysons, Virginia, with travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping cameras, IoT devices, networking hardware, or other connected devices.
• Experience with ODM, JDM, or contract manufacturing partners.
• Experience in video surveillance, physical security, commercial device ecosystems, or installer-driven products.
• Previous experience as a hardware, embedded, systems, mechanical, or firmware engineer.
