General Accountant

Location: Gdynia, Poland; hybrid schedule with office presence three days per week

What you will do

• Record, analyze, and report general accounting transactions.
• Prepare and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Perform and review Sarbanes-Oxley controls within assigned areas.
• Support general ledger, intercompany, cash and banking, prepaids, inventory, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Assist with financial analysis, month-end close, reporting, and complex accounting research.
• Map and support end-to-end accounting cycles and other departmental projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, accounting processes, and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley controls and advanced Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, ownership, flexibility, and communication skills.
• Excellent written and oral English and the ability to work a hybrid schedule from Gdynia.

Nice to have

• SAP experience.
• IFRS knowledge.
• Experience preparing US GAAP financial statements and management analyses.
