Director, Audit Transformation (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or Remote (USA)

Salary: $220,000–$255,000 base salary per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Define the audit domain direction for agent-based workflows, product discovery, prioritization, and roadmap planning.
• Translate professional standards, practitioner judgment, and audit methodology into prompts, workflows, guardrails, and documentation requirements for AI agents.
• Determine appropriate audit procedures and autonomy levels for agent execution, ensuring outputs can withstand professional and regulatory inspection.
• Own the customer transformation motion with Customer Success, including playbooks, maturity models, training, and scalable program structures.
• Serve as an executive sponsor and audit subject-matter expert for strategic customer engagements, escalations, demonstrations, and validation sprints.
• Monitor regulatory developments and represent hirify.global through content, webinars, industry events, and relationships with standard-setters, regulators, and analysts.

Requirements

• CPA with 10+ years of financial audit experience at a public accounting firm, including senior leadership, national office, or innovation and transformation experience.
• Strong expertise in auditing standards, audit methodology, quality control or quality management standards, and audit documentation.
• Experience designing or scaling repeatable transformation or change-management programs, including playbooks, maturity models, and training.
• Experience with audit technology, automation, AI-enabled tools, methodologies, templates, or workpapers.
• Ability to translate professional standards into structured workflows and logic and collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams.
• Executive presence for leading demonstrations, customer onsites, validation sprints, and discussions with firm leadership and regulators.

• Active involvement with AICPA, state CPA societies, or standard-setting bodies.
• Experience scaling firm-wide innovation or transformation initiatives.
• International auditing standards and methodology expertise.
• Experience with LLM-based or agentic workflows, prompt design, or AI-enabled audit tooling.
