Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end platform features across backend systems, integrations, and responsive web interfaces.
• Build and maintain public and internal RESTful APIs, API documentation, and the MCP server.
• Use AI development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, debugging, and documentation while reviewing generated output for quality, security, and maintainability.
• Contribute to technical decisions, code reviews, testing, performance, accessibility, and engineering standards.
• Implement DevOps practices including monitoring, logging, incident response, and reliability improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience in a product-focused company.
• Experience contributing across backend and frontend layers.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, relational databases, and SQL, including query optimization and database troubleshooting.
• Experience with React, modern JavaScript, RESTful APIs, asynchronous requests, and data flow management.
• Hands-on use of AI coding assistants or agents, including prompt design and critical code review.
• Practical experience with automated testing, CI/CD, deployment processes, and production issue resolution.

Nice to have

• Experience with e-commerce or B2B SaaS products involving orders, payments, catalogues, fulfilment, or logistics.
• Experience building third-party integrations with CRMs, suppliers, marketplaces, webhooks, retries, and data synchronization.
