Senior Finance Manager

Numan is building a growing finance function that requires stronger controls, scalable processes, and accurate financial reporting.

What you will do

• Own the month-end close and improve its speed and accuracy as the business grows.
• Lead the year-end external audit, statutory accounts, and relationships with auditors.
• Close audit recommendations and build a scalable financial controls framework.
• Oversee finance operations including invoice processing, payments, banking, cash forecasting, VAT, corporation tax, and R&D claims.
• Lead complex technical accounting matters and changes in accounting standards.
• Improve and automate finance processes using systems and AI, while partnering with FP&A and wider business teams.

Requirements

• ACA qualification with audit training at a Big Four or mid-tier firm.
• Post-qualification experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role within a high-growth business.
• Experience leading or supporting external audits and preparing statutory accounts.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience improving month-end close, controls, and finance processes.
• Experience implementing finance systems and automation, with an AI-first approach to reducing manual work.
• Advanced Excel skills, experience with Xero or similar systems, and clear communication with auditors, advisers, and non-finance stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in a technology, digital health, subscription, or direct-to-consumer business.
• Experience implementing new finance systems or tools.
• Experience raising the standard of a finance function.
