Systems Engineer Level 1/2 (Medical Instrumentation)

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 annually

What you will do

• Execute hands-on integration, verification, thermal, fluidic, and reliability testing, including test setup, instrumentation, troubleshooting, and data collection.
• Support testing, design, analysis, and troubleshooting activities that improve system performance and reduce technical risk.
• Analyze test data with Excel, Minitab, or similar tools and communicate findings and recommendations.
• Incorporate test results into mechanical CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Identify potential failure mechanisms and support risk mitigation through testing and basic analysis.
• Maintain design and test documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Experience supporting mechanical testing, reliability improvement, performance troubleshooting, or design iteration in a laboratory or product development setting.
• Familiarity with Excel, Minitab, Analyse-it, or similar data analysis tools.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, fixtures, or experimental laboratory hardware.
• Exposure to regulated product development environments.
• Ability to handle laboratory equipment, lift up to 25 pounds, perform repetitive tasks, and use required PPE.
• Willingness to work in a laboratory environment with possible exposure to chemicals or biological materials.
