Quality Engineer I (MedTech)

Location: Galway, County Galway, Ireland

Salary: €41,600–€62,400 per year, with final compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes and finished products.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and receiving inspection stakeholders to ensure materials and components meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Review quality data, identify trends, support investigations, and contribute to problem-solving activities.
• Support inspection, testing, validation, and analysis of product and process performance.
• Maintain accurate quality records and support internal and external audits, including BSI, MDSAP, and FDA audits.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, process effectiveness, and operational performance.

Requirements

• Level 8 bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or another technical field.
• Analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to apply a risk-based approach, manage multiple priorities, and independently plan and schedule activities.
• Ability to work effectively and proactively in cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of quality systems, equipment IQ/OQ/PQ, validation activities, or regulated industries is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile, SAP, or SAP ME.
• Experience in regulated industries and quality engineering environments.
