Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer (Salesforce)

Location: New York, hybrid. An in-person final interview is required and may involve travel depending on location.

Salary: $145,000–$185,000 per year, plus equity in the form of RSUs.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud (Engage 360) implementations for enterprise pharmaceutical clients, including feature development, customization, and data model design.
• Translate business requirements and client workflows into technical architectures, specifications, diagrams, and implementation plans.
• Build Python and Airflow ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate data from diverse sources.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and design data models for complex pharmaceutical workflows and analytics.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for enterprise accounts, leading client calls and managing relationships independently.
• Define the standards, processes, and tooling needed to scale forward-deployed engineering across multiple customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce consulting experience, including Apex, Flows, Lightning Components, feature development, customization, and customer implementations.
• Strong Python, Airflow, ETL pipeline, data transformation, and pipeline design experience.
• Proficiency in SQL optimization and data model or schema design.
• Experience translating client requirements into technical architecture and leading implementations from discovery through deployment.
• Direct consulting experience with demanding enterprise clients, including stakeholder and scope management.
• Ability to work autonomously, navigate ambiguity, explain technical trade-offs, and define feasible solutions.

• Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud implementation experience.
• Healthcare or pharmaceutical consulting experience.
• Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake or Redshift.
• Experience managing or mentoring technical teams while remaining hands-on.
