FIAR Analyst (Financial Audit Readiness)

What you will do

• Review and document financial processes to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop improvement plans and corrective actions to address process issues.
• Support financial audits by preparing documentation, answering auditor questions, and coordinating site visits.
• Test financial controls and processes and track progress toward audit readiness goals.
• Create process maps, reports, and training materials.
• Train and guide client staff while coordinating with client leaders and external auditors.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and federal financial standards.
• Experience with government financial systems such as GFEBS, DTS, or similar tools.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, client-service, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Department of Defense or other federal agencies.
• Familiarity with Special Operations or joint military environments.
• Experience supporting audits or audit readiness efforts.
• Experience working with large data sets, financial reports, data standards, and policies.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
