Principal Product Modelling Engineer (Power Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain advanced device models for power MOSFETs and emerging power semiconductor technologies.
• Build compact models from silicon characterization and simulation data.
• Perform electrical, thermal, switching, and reliability simulations to analyse device behaviour and loss mechanisms.
• Calibrate, validate, and correlate models against measured silicon data.
• Collaborate with device engineering, technology development, design, characterization, and reliability teams on new processes and device architectures.
• Develop modelling flows and automation frameworks, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical leadership.

Requirements

• PhD or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Semiconductor Physics, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in semiconductor device modelling, simulation, compact model development, and parameter extraction.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and power semiconductor technologies.
• Strong programming and data analysis skills using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• Experience correlating simulation results with experimental characterization data and validating system-level models.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary R&D environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with silicon, SiC, or GaN power semiconductor devices.
• Knowledge of reliability modelling and semiconductor failure mechanisms.
• Experience with technology development or process integration projects.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis, Design of Experiments, and model optimization.
• Publications, patents, or conference presentations.
