Field Application Engineer (Clinical Diagnostics)

Location: Sevilla, Spain; remote work with travel across the South Iberia territory

What you will do

• Conduct pre-installation site assessments and install GeneXpert instruments.
• Configure software and connectivity and support customers during evaluation, launch, and assay conversion.
• Deliver training on system operation, software, reagents, and connectivity.
• Perform troubleshooting, reactive repairs, preventive maintenance, deinstallations, and equipment relocations.
• Coordinate technical and administrative issue resolution with customers and internal functions.
• Manage spare parts, inventory, and vehicle stock.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering or biology; diagnostic industry experience is advantageous.
• 2–3 years of experience in healthcare, biomedical work, medical devices, or laboratory customer support.
• Fluent Spanish or another local language of the region and a strong command of English.
• Ability to travel and spend approximately 80% of the time in the field.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 27 kg.

Nice to have

• Technical support and training experience with clinical diagnostic reagents and instrumentation.
• Existing customer relationships within the territory.
• Knowledge of Portuguese.
