Senior Director, Development – APAC (AI Infrastructure)

Nscale is building sustainable, high-performance data centres and GPU infrastructure for sovereign generative AI solutions across APAC and beyond.

What you will do

• Lead the full front-end development lifecycle for APAC data centre projects, from site identification and acquisition support through design, permitting, and handover to Delivery.
• Drive scalable, repeatable, and best-in-class data centre design standards for AI workloads.
• Shape APAC development strategy in line with growth objectives, regulatory environments, and AI infrastructure requirements.
• Oversee major projects, coordinating internal teams, consultants, partners, customers, and public authorities.
• Manage permitting, compliance, governance, reporting, and documentation across multiple APAC jurisdictions.
• Build and lead a regional development team while collaborating with design, construction, cost, deployment, and operations functions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in development or project leadership, ideally in data centres, mission-critical environments, or large-scale infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of site development, permitting, and design coordination for complex technical infrastructure.
• Experience building and managing teams, consultants, and contractors across regional projects.
• Proven ability to work strategically while remaining hands-on in project delivery.
• Fluency in English is required. Other APAC languages are advantageous.
• Expert knowledge of local APAC markets and the ability to work across regions, time zones, and disciplines.

• Experience managing development and permitting processes across APAC.
• Background in data centre, mission-critical, or other large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Additional APAC language proficiency.
