TL;DR
AI & Platform Engineer (AI/Healthcare): Building and maintaining production applications, AI-powered workflows, agents, integrations, and platform tooling for healthcare products with an accent on prompt engineering, agent evaluation, lifecycle governance, and PHI-sensitive development. Focus on designing deterministic guardrails, monitoring agent quality drift, maintaining CI/CD and observability, and integrating with enterprise systems such as Epic.
Location: Fully remote from Latin America; core hours must substantially overlap with US Eastern/Mountain time zones.
Rate: Competitive hourly rate in USD, depending on experience.

is hiring for a growing US healthcare technology client building healthcare applications and AI-powered products.
What you will do
- Build, extend, and maintain application components, interfaces, and integrations.
- Design, deploy, and iterate on AI-powered workflows and agents using prompt standards and evaluation frameworks.
- Monitor agents for performance issues, unexpected behavior, and quality drift, documenting and resolving issues.
- Enforce deterministic checks, gates, approvals, and rollback controls outside agent authority.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and observability tooling.
- Build integrations with enterprise source systems such as Epic and collaborate with US-based engineering and product stakeholders during shared working hours.
Requirements
- Production experience building, extending, and shipping application components and integrations.
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered agents, including prompt engineering, quality evaluation, and drift monitoring.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and modern CI/CD practices in a Microsoft-centric environment, including Azure, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience integrating with Epic or other enterprise platforms.
- Strong written and spoken English is required.
- Must be able to work core hours with substantial overlap with US Eastern/Mountain time zones.
Nice to have
- Healthcare application experience, including PHI-aware development and HIPAA practices.
- Experience working in small, fast-moving teams with end-to-end ownership.
