Hardware Engineer, AI Cluster Commissioning

What you will do

• Support deployment, commissioning, testing, and remediation of large-scale AI clusters with GPUs, high-speed networks, and high-performance storage.
• Install and configure equipment, perform structured cabling and network integration, and support site teams during commissioning.
• Diagnose server, GPU, storage, and networking failures; collect logs and support root-cause investigations.
• Replace components, validate hardware, execute acceptance tests, and verify firmware, cabling, and system configurations.
• Maintain service records, equipment logs, inventories, tools, and spare parts while communicating technical updates to project and operations teams.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain current knowledge of equipment, processes, and industry standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent, technical certification, or trade qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in IT equipment maintenance and repair.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and under direction.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during system commissioning.
• Unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment, work for extended periods in data centers and confined spaces, and travel domestically and internationally for deployments.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-density GPU servers and rack environments.
• Experience with data center networking, structured cabling, hardware diagnostics, and component replacement.
• Familiarity with Linux and command-line troubleshooting.
