Senior Manager, Conflicts Attorneys (Legal Ethics)

Location: Remote based in any U.S. office, including Century City, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Palo Alto, San Francisco, or Washington, D.C.; coordination across U.S. time zones is required.

Annual compensation: $270,000–$295,000, plus discretionary performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead the U.S. Conflicts Attorneys team, allocating workloads, managing escalations, coordinating coverage, and supporting hiring and performance reviews.
• Oversee conflicts clearance for new clients, matters, attorney hires, and lateral candidates across U.S. offices.
• Resolve complex and sensitive conflicts issues, negotiate waivers, draft ethics wall memoranda, and advise partners and firm leadership.
• Coordinate with the international conflicts team on cross-border matters and maintain consistent global clearance practices.
• Develop conflicts policies, procedures, precedent libraries, training programs, service-level metrics, and process improvements.
• Partner with Legal Operations and Information Systems on Intapp or equivalent conflicts-clearance and ethical-screening technology, including workflow design and testing.

Requirements

• Qualified attorney admitted and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a law firm conflicts, professional responsibility, or general counsel function.
• Substantial knowledge of ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct and analogous U.S. state rules.
• Experience analyzing and resolving conflicts in a large law firm, with familiarity with cross-border matters.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, train, delegate to, and review the work of attorneys and analysts.
• Deep working knowledge of conflicts-clearance and ethical-screening technology, including Intapp or an equivalent platform.
