Senior Compliance Program Manager, Political Law

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, New York City, or Washington, DC; staff are expected to work from an office at least 25% of the time.

Annual salary: $255,000–$270,000 USD

What you will do

• Own political contributions preclearance, covered-persons tracking, pay-to-play screening, recordkeeping, and reconciliations.
• Support corporate PAC compliance, including eligibility controls, solicitation reviews, FEC reporting oversight, and contribution vetting.
• Maintain political giving workflows and support lobbying registrations, deadlines, and filings as the program develops.
• Manage outside political law counsel and compliance vendors, including scope, quality, timeliness, and budget.
• Run gifts and hospitality reviews involving public officials and handle conflicts of interest, outside activities, recusal, and post-government-employment matters.
• Build training and AI-assisted intake, screening, and case-management workflows while reporting program metrics to leadership.

Requirements

• Hands-on ownership of political law compliance programs or a comparable multi-jurisdiction regulatory program.
• Experience designing or substantially redesigning preclearance, disclosure, filing-calendar, register, and control workflows.
• Working knowledge of FECA/FEC, LDA/HLOGA, House and Senate gift rules, and state and local regulatory variation.
• Experience managing outside counsel or compliance vendors and coordinating with Policy, Government Affairs, Legal, Finance, and executives.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
• Visa sponsorship is available, subject to role and candidate eligibility.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of compliance program management experience.
• Experience in corporate government affairs compliance, political law, compliance vendors, or financial-services pay-to-play programs.
• Exposure to non-US lobbying transparency regimes and compliance tooling such as GRC, case management, disclosure platforms, or workflow automation.
• Experience at a high-growth or technology company, relevant certification, or a paralegal/JD background.
