Electrical Engineering Intern (Aerospace)

Location: Full-time on-site in San Jose, California. The company is registered and able to hire in specified U.S. states. Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status or eligibility for the required export authorization.

Salary: $40/hour for Bachelor's students, $45/hour for Master's students, and $50/hour for PhD students.

What you will do

• Own or contribute to hardware and firmware design for spacecraft and payload development.
• Initiate or support test campaigns and design or improve test setups.
• Conduct analysis during development and testing.
• Perform laboratory testing and measurements on benches and in clean-room environments.
• Develop production avionics tests or design PCB assemblies for new spacecraft capabilities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or as a senior planning to enter an Electrical Engineering graduate program.
• Familiarity with Altium, KiCad, or similar schematic capture and layout software.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, electronic loads, and digital multimeters.
• Prior experience designing, testing, and debugging PCB assemblies.
• Basic programming skills in C, C++, or Python.
• Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements for access to controlled information.

Nice to have

• Previous internship, co-op, or technical project team experience.
• Experience with component test racks, hardware-in-the-loop testing, wire harness design, or PCB soldering and reflow.
• Experience testing and characterizing battery cells or packs.
