Manager 3, Mid Market Intelligence (AI-native ERP)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $244,000–$330,000 per year, with potential bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build, mentor, and develop engineering teams and technical leaders across backend services, data, and AI/agentic systems for a mid-market ERP.
• Set technical direction for AI-native product experiences using LLM orchestration, multi-agent systems, tool use, retrieval, and evaluation frameworks.
• Partner with product, design, architecture, and platform teams to define roadmaps and manage complex cross-organizational dependencies.
• Lead development of AI-native workflows with automation, human-in-the-loop approvals, explainability, and proactive data-driven decision support.
• Drive scalable, highly available, secure, and performant service and data foundations with safe releases and dependency management.
• Establish production standards for reliability, safety, observability, experimentation, evaluation, and AI system quality monitoring.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including experience managing engineers or engineering teams.
• Experience building and operating large-scale business applications, SaaS platforms, or distributed systems; ERP, financials, or business operations experience is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience shipping generative AI and agentic systems to production, including LLM orchestration, multi-agent architectures, tool use, retrieval, and evaluation or guardrail frameworks.
• Strong technical depth in architecture, API design, distributed systems, platform reliability, staged rollouts, and breaking-change management.
• Experience leading complex multi-team initiatives and balancing delivery, technical debt, and long-term maintainability.
• Experience with Java, Python, TypeScript, event-driven architectures, Spark, AWS or GCP, and CI/CD practices.
