Asset Management Engineer Co-Op (MedTech)

What you will do

• Optimize spare-parts storage layouts, organization, labeling, space utilization, and material flow.
• Support procurement, receiving, storage, replenishment, and obsolescence-management processes.
• Analyze maintenance requirements to identify critical spare parts, inventory levels, reorder points, and safety stock.
• Maintain accurate spare-parts information in CMMS systems and support master data management.
• Develop inventory KPIs and use data analysis to reduce shortages, duplicate materials, obsolete inventory, and equipment downtime.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, and suppliers while supporting 5S, documentation, quality, safety, and EHS requirements.

Requirements

• Completion of the undergraduate freshman year at an accredited university.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Enrollment at an accredited college or university during the January–December 2027 co-op term, even if not taking classes.
• Ability to work fully on-site in Añasco, Puerto Rico.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, spare-parts management, material planning, or supply chain processes.
• Experience with regulated manufacturing, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or similar industries.
• Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP PM or Maximo.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SAP, or other data-analysis tools.
• Experience with equipment qualification, validation, or maintenance operations.
