Health & Safety Advisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Auckland, New Zealand; Albany manufacturing site

What you will do

• Partner with leaders and frontline teams to strengthen safety ownership and capability.
• Maintain and continuously improve site HSE systems, standards and reporting.
• Lead audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Identify critical risks and implement practical controls, including machinery safety and contractor management.
• Coordinate HSE training, employee participation and the Site Health & Safety Committee.
• Work with Quality, Engineering, Operations and site leaders to turn improvement opportunities into action.

Requirements

• New Zealand Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice Level 4 or a relevant equivalent qualification.
• At least three years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in manufacturing or another operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand health and safety legislation and HSE management systems.
• Knowledge of AS/NZS 4024 machinery safety standards and their application.
• Experience with audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective action management.
• Strong coaching, communication, judgement, attention to detail and collaboration skills.
