Senior Software Engineer - Appian Platform

Location: Remote in the United States, with occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings. The role is associated with Louisville, KY.

Salary: $106,900–$147,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Appian capabilities.
• Build process models, SAIL interfaces, record types, expression rules, reusable components, and workflow-driven case-management solutions.
• Configure, optimize, administer, and upgrade the Appian platform.
• Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise systems using RESTful services, web APIs, Kafka, and other data sources.
• Apply Appian best practices and engineering standards in a HIPAA-regulated environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on Appian development experience.
• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing software applications or infrastructure.
• Experience building workflow-driven and case-based applications in medium-to-large-scale environments.
• Knowledge of platform security, integrations, data access patterns, Web APIs, Kafka or similar messaging systems, and Appian deployment processes.
• Experience working with security, compliance, auditability, and reliability requirements in regulated environments.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Appian Developer certification or equivalent platform certification.
• Experience with Appian AI modeling and automation features.
• Experience with Java, C#, Python, SQL, relational or cloud databases, Databricks, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with object-oriented design and enterprise messaging or event-streaming platforms.
