Co-op Software Application Development (Vue)

Location: Scarborough, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid); EST working hours.

Salary: CA$22–31/hour, based on completed co-op work terms.

What you will do

• Build applications with Office 365 tools, including SharePoint and PowerApps.
• Develop and enhance custom solutions on the Java platform.
• Build cloud applications on Amazon Web Services using Ruby, Lambda, and Vue.js.
• Work with senior developers to identify opportunities and evaluate technical tradeoffs.
• Translate business goals into high-quality, shippable software.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Understanding of software design patterns, development principles, and the Agile lifecycle.
• Familiarity with at least one modern programming language, such as Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience or interest in data processing, analytics, application development, and learning new frameworks.
• Ability to work in a hybrid position in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and Cloud9.
• Exposure to SQL databases and security frameworks.
