What you will do

• Define and drive the architectural roadmap for major UI platform subsystems, including internationalization and localization.
• Serve as the definitive design reviewer for high-impact proposals to ensure long-term maintainability.
• Drive cross-functional alignment and resolve technical ambiguity across multiple product teams.
• Build reusable components and design patterns that empower feature teams to deliver world-ready software.
• Mentor senior engineers and establish best practices for UI development and platform scalability.
• Contribute hands-on to the implementation of the platform's most complex and foundational components.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Expertise in software architecture with a strong background in Java, Python, or C++.
• Significant experience with frameworks such as Spring, React.js, or Node.js.
• Strong grasp of software engineering design principles and scalable system architecture.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear narratives.
• Must be based in or able to work from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience defining internationalization and localization strategies for large-scale enterprise applications.
• Deep knowledge of Unicode, ISO standards, and globalization frameworks.
• Familiarity with globalization testing processes.
• Experience working in a platform team treating developers as customers.
