Lead Java Full Stack Engineer (Java)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and production-quality software.
• Build Java and Spring Boot backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices architectures.
• Develop responsive, component-driven front-end applications using React.
• Deploy and operate cloud-native services across their full lifecycle.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and developers in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least five years of professional experience building production-grade enterprise applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Java 11 or 17, Spring Boot, RESTful API design, data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Production experience with microservices, SQL, relational databases, CI/CD, Git workflows, and at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on React experience and strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, EAD holder, or H-1B transfer candidate.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other event-streaming platforms.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of eventual consistency, CAP trade-offs, idempotency, and saga patterns.
• Experience with test automation, test-driven development, or behavior-driven development.
• Familiarity with Angular or Vue.
