TL;DR
Quality Inspector (Aerospace): Inspecting assembled units and supplier components for aerospace and defense manufacturing using blueprints, drawings, military standards, and precision measuring tools with an accent on visual accuracy, process verification, and quality documentation. Focus on identifying rework requirements, communicating systemic defects, and ensuring compliance with AS9100, AS9102, and ITAR-controlled manufacturing requirements.
Location: Fort Walton Beach, Florida, United States; onsite manufacturing role. Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., on a 9/80 schedule.

What you will do
- Inspect assembled units and supplier components using blueprints, customer drawings, engineering change notices, military standards, and operating procedures.
- Determine acceptance, rejection, and rework requirements.
- Conduct accurate visual inspections and verify physical properties.
- Confirm that manufacturing build and test processes have been completed.
- Record inspection data in software tools and communicate errors and systemic trends to the quality organization.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector or Assembler in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, plus general PC and Oracle skills.
- Ability to use calipers, thread gages, scales, and a micro-hite; interpret drawings and part specifications; and perform accurate color vision and depth perception checks.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with order management, quality engineers, customers, and management.
- Access to U.S. export-controlled information is required; authorization under applicable U.S. Government requirements and ITAR eligibility may be required. Selected applicants may undergo a security investigation and must meet classified-information access requirements.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards.
- Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Requirements.
