TL;DR
Trust & Safety Specialist (Content Moderation): Reviewing user reports and proactive detection flags in Strava’s moderation tools, applying community standards, and making content and account enforcement decisions with an accent on sensitive-content review, policy judgement, and regulatory compliance. Focus on escalating complex safety incidents, maintaining queue accuracy and SLA performance, and improving moderation operations across cross-functional teams.
Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid model with more than half of the time on-site in the Dublin office, two days per week. Weekend coverage on Saturday or Sunday is required.
Salary: €54,000–€56,000 annual base compensation, plus equity; benefits are additional.

What you will do
- Review reactive user reports and proactive detection flags using ’s moderation tools and Intercom.
- Make content and account enforcement decisions under Community Standards, the Acceptable Use Policy, and internal policies.
- Manage moderation queues, SLA targets, decision accuracy, and consistency with the manager.
- Escalate edge cases, novel policy questions, child safety incidents, legal requests, and other high-severity matters.
- Support compliance workflows related to the Digital Services Act and Take It Down Act.
- Identify policy gaps, tooling issues, and recurring content patterns while collaborating with Policy, Legal, Engineering, and Customer Experience.
Requirements
- Experience in content moderation, online safety, or trust and safety operations.
- Comfort reviewing sensitive and graphic content, including harassment, spam, child safety material, and self-harm.
- Strong judgement in ambiguous policy situations and the ability to explain well-grounded decisions.
- Clear, concise communication skills for escalating sensitive issues and reporting patterns.
- Ability to work independently, manage queues effectively, and involve senior colleagues when appropriate.
- Availability to work one weekend day, Saturday or Sunday, for regulatory and time-sensitive coverage.
Nice to have
- Experience with Intercom or similar ticketing and support platforms.
- Familiarity with content moderation regulations such as the Digital Services Act or GDPR.
- Professional fluency in a second European language.
