TL;DR
Staff Agentic Engineer (AI): Building production-quality agentic software and reusable engineering patterns across a people intelligence platform with an accent on technical direction, specification standards, verification, and security architecture. Focus on coordinating human and agentic contributors, designing safe agent workflows, and establishing scalable testing, observability, and release practices.
Location: Remote in Utah, United States. Employment is contingent on passing background and credit checks.

What you will do
- Own the technical direction of a product area and define how multiple teams specify, delegate, verify, and integrate agentic work.
- Set specification standards, review gates, readiness criteria, and heuristics for deciding when work should be delegated to agents.
- Coordinate human and agentic contributors across teams to deliver large-scale product initiatives.
- Define verification, security, privacy, data-flow, access-control, and threat-modeling practices for agentic systems.
- Build reusable scaffolding including prompts, agent instructions, repository conventions, test harnesses, and playbooks.
- Shape roadmap decisions, resolve high-risk technical issues, mentor engineers, and establish safe release and operational practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience delivering customer-facing production software and owning technical direction across a product area.
- Experience creating reusable agent patterns and AI-powered solutions for multiple teams.
- Strong systems, data modeling, architecture, performance, and data-flow design skills.
- Expertise in context engineering, agent workflows, specification standards, testing, evaluation, and safe multi-team version control.
- Experience with security and privacy reviews, CI/CD, feature flags, staged rollouts, rollback, observability, metrics, traces, and incident response.
- Strong communication, technical judgment, root-cause analysis, and mentoring skills.
