TL;DR
Internal Evaluation Program Auditor (Aviation Safety): Planning and delivering internal aviation audits, documenting findings, verifying corrective actions, and maintaining the Internal Evaluation Program with an accent on regulatory compliance, Safety Management Systems, and risk analysis. Focus on comparing technical documents with FAA and other aviation standards, communicating findings to executive leadership, and facilitating training while traveling up to 50% of the time.

Location: Cottonwood Heights, Utah, United States; travel required up to 50% of the time

What you will do

  • Plan and schedule quality internal audits, including audit checklists and annual and monthly calendars.
  • Conduct audits by reviewing manuals and records, interviewing personnel, and observing workplace practices.
  • Document findings, prepare audit reports, and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Maintain current Internal Evaluation Program checklists, schedules, and manuals in line with audit requirements.
  • Trend program data to identify organizational risks and support program development, budgeting, and data analytics.
  • Deliver training and communicate audit findings to business partners and leadership, including executives.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in an aviation safety-related field or four or more additional years of relevant experience in internal evaluation, auditing, project management, technical writing, contingency planning, or curriculum development.
  • At least two years of 121 or 135 aviation experience and at least two years of project management, technical writing, or curriculum development experience.
  • Ability to compare technical documents with FAA DCTs and other regulatory standards, including FARs, DoD requirements, and IOSA standards.
  • Must have and maintain a valid passport or be cleared for international travel.
  • Must be able and willing to travel up to an average of 50% of the time.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to obtain and maintain a SIDA badge under TSA requirements.

Nice to have

  • IATA Airline Quality Management course completion credentials.
  • IOSA auditing experience, audit budget management, or at least one year of facilitation experience.
  • 121 aviation, airline, or travel industry experience.
