Location: 26W171 Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton, Illinois, United States. On-site part-time role with rotating shifts.

Salary: $22.58–$31.61 per hour

What you will do

• Identify and fill medications, surgical kits, medication carts, emergency crash carts, requisitions, and specialty items.
• Prepare sterile compounds and IV admixtures, including hazardous medications, chemotherapy, and biologics.
• Fill, label, package, and document individual patient medications according to computer-generated profiles.
• Deliver medications to nursing units and automated dispensing cabinets, retrieve discontinued medications, and maintain cabinet inventory.
• Order, receive, store, rotate, and inspect pharmaceuticals and supplies, including expiration checks.
• Handle controlled substances, maintain required records, enter charges and credits, and perform unit and emergency-cart inspections.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician License issued by IDFPR.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA is required for licensed technicians after 2008, within six months of hire or sooner when required by the Illinois Pharmacy Practice Act.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to function in a stressful environment.
• Up to one year of related work experience is preferred.
