Location: Columbia, South Carolina, United States. The role requires 4–5 days per week in the office, regular in-person meetings and events, occasional travel, non-traditional business hours, and outdoor work.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Manage daily and launch-phase vehicle logistics control operations from manufacturing through outbound staging, loading, and dispatch.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop the Vehicle Logistics Control team, including staffing, performance management, and capability building.
  • Establish and improve logistics processes, operating standards, escalation routines, and production-readiness controls.
  • Coordinate with production, manufacturing, quality, logistics, accessory center, carriers, and other stakeholders to protect vehicle flow.
  • Manage KPIs, reporting, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, budgets, throughput, cost, quality, and delivery reliability.
  • Plan truck and rail dispatch, maintain safety and regulatory compliance, support audits, and lead contingency and recovery actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, transportation management, business operations, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
  • At least 8 years of experience in automotive finished vehicle operations or transportation management, with experience leading teams.
  • Knowledge of outbound vehicle logistics, transportation regulations, safety protocols, and operational compliance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with internal teams, external partners, third-party providers, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software.
