Software Developer Analyst (CommCare)

Location: Remote; candidates must be located in and have the right to work in the United Kingdom or Kenya. Employment is provided through a local contract and follows the applicable local salary scale.

Salary: £49,598–£60,040 per year for the UK pay rate.

What you will do

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain data collection toolkits in CommCare.
• Build Power BI dashboards connected to live CommCare data and support Azure-based data platforms.
• Analyze software requirements, assess feasibility and complexity, and translate requirements into development tasks.
• Maintain data and metadata definitions, versioning, system diagrams, and implementation documentation.
• Implement data quality, development, security, confidentiality, and data protection standards.
• Provide Tier-2 and Tier-3 support, rollout training, and hyper-support for measurement technology products.

Requirements

• Three to six years of experience developing and rolling out data or technology platforms for programs.
• At least three years of experience developing, implementing, and supporting CommCare for large and complex programs.
• Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar source code and version-control platforms.
• Knowledge of pair programming, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and agile delivery practices.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
• Ability to work in English and hold the right to work in the United Kingdom or Kenya.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks, Dataverse connectors, APIs, and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience explaining complex technology issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
