Staff Operations & Innovation Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Act as deputy leader for Money Operations Innovation & Control and represent the function in leadership and cross-functional forums.
• Lead, coach, and develop teams across quality, monitoring, regulatory complaints, process management, and analytics.
• Own operating rhythms including team huddles, performance tracking, roadmap execution, and operational reporting.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Product, and Engineering on operational commitments and product launch readiness.
• Ensure controls, disputes-adjacent processes, and reporting are established before new products and features go live.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, risk and controls, or business analytics, ideally in fintech or modern financial services.
• Experience establishing internal controls, quality programs, regulatory tracking, or remediation within an operations department.
• Hands-on experience with business process management, automation, AI, and scaled third-party vendor operations.
• Experience independently leading multidisciplinary teams across controls, process design, and analytics.
• Strong analytical fluency, including KPI dashboards, operational reporting, and senior-level judgment and autonomy.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced degree.
• Experience managing regulatory complaints involving the CFPB or state attorneys general.
• Familiarity with case management, CRM, and complaint-management systems.
• Predictive or forecasting analytics experience for operational resource planning.
• Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma process improvement frameworks.
